I blew it today. Started off great… then got stressed and ate. Or rather binged, I should say. I ate everything in sight that was chocolate. I am so sorry, God! I was full and now I feel sick. I am so upset with myself. What shall I do? Fast for 3 days sound reasonable, or what do you recommend? 2 days? Several days with 1 small meal each day only?
Thank you for apologizing, but you are still learning. Don’t forget this feeling of guilt and sick to your stomach… you fell down but you can get back up again. Yes, I think a fast of some sort would be beneficial with prayers as your focus. Have a repentant attitude during the fast and you will benefit from it. Try to fast tomorrow until Friday 1 small meal each day around 3pm when you are finished with work. I will bless your fasting and together we will get this right. Ok? Don’t beat yourself up too much, because you are trying. That is the main thing… do not give up. Start doing your homework in the change series. And read your bible, pray the divine office, listen to the class recordings and music. You will be ok. I know you are disappointed in yourself. Turn that negative energy into positive change.
